What the client wanted
As much as we buy our homes to live in, they are also an investment. With this client, the challenge was to increase the size, and consequently the value, of the property as much as possible. On top of that, the idea was to streamline the costs so that the extension would offer a good return on the investment when the property was sold in the future.

Our creative solution
We managed to significantly increase the footprint of the property through a combination of utilising the space already available in the house, adding modest but effective extensions and sourcing materials wisely. On the ground floor, we removed walls and added a rear extension to create a bright and open living space. A two-storey side extension meant that every bedroom in the house also benefitted from a coveted en-suite bathroom. However, our favourite feature was the loft extension in which we managed to fit a generous master bedroom, a deluxe en-suite, and a spacious office.
Our favourite features
Keeping costs down is always a challenge, but we were delighted with what we managed to achieve with a tight budget on this property. However, the real showstopper came with the success of the open plan living space. An expansive and bright space that wasn’t a priority for the client initially, but is now their favourite part of the house, and a space they couldn’t live without.
