WHAT THE CLIENT WANTED

Space is a luxury many of us can’t afford to pay for when it comes to the property market, meaning that if we want our homes to be bigger, it makes sense to expand the one we already have. Our client on this project wanted us to open out the lower floor of their property to provide them with a multi-purpose family space that can be used daily.

OUR CREATIVE SOLUTION

This property benefitted from a sizeable garden, meaning that we could use some of this space to expand the living area outwards. The huge, glass sliding door maximised the light inside the property, and the exterior was designed using eco friendly materials. We also created a decking area, which would allow our clients to use the newly designed property no matter what the weather.

OUR FAVOURITE FEATURES

We love the breakfast bar island. There is a dining table for formal use, but the island allows the whole family to sit together to enjoy a more informal meal or snack, allowing them to relax together whenever they can. We also love the way the glass door makes the garden feel like a true part of the space, as this adds a really positive feeling to the extension.
